What happens if a sporting event is cancelled?
Obviously, Sporting Events are subject to Cancellation or Delay due to a variety of reasons outside of Pikum!’s control. If a Cancellation or Delay of a Sporting Event occurs, the following rules shall apply:

If an event is cancelled outright, Pikum!’s response depends on whether a Pikum! was a Single-Event Pikum, or a Multi-Event Pikum. A Single-Event Pikum is a Pikum in which Piks relate to a single sporting event (for example, a football game). A Multi-Event Pikum is a Pikum in which piks relate to Multiple Sporting Events (for example, a football game and a Tennis game).

Players in a Single-Event Pikum in which the underlying event has been cancelled will i) be notified that the Pikum has been cancelled, and ii) will receive a full refund of their Entry Fees into their Pikum! Account.

Players in a Multi-Event Pikum in which all underlying events have been cancelled will be treated in the same way.

Players in a Multi-Event Pikum in which only one or multiple, but not all, underlying events have been cancelled will be i) notified that one or multiple events have been cancelled, and ii) your Piks relating to the cancelled event(s) will be credited with 100 points (in other words, these Piks will be treated as if every Player in the Pikum had picked the correct result).

What happens if a sporting event is delayed?
Event Delays will normally only impact a Pikum in so far as the Pikum’s start time is changed. Pikum! will not notify Players of the new start time if events are delayed, but changes to an event start times can affect the start or end time of a Pikum.

However, should an event be delayed for an unreasonably long period of more than 72 hours, Pikum!, at its sole discretion, may decide to treat an event as if it had been canceled. This decision is binding upon the Host and all Players in the Pikum. In that case, we will i) notify you of our decision to treat an event as canceled, and ii) apply the Event Cancellation policy set forth above.

In the event of any conflict between the content found under the "Help" section and the Terms and Conditions, the Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
Event Interruption

In rare cases, sporting events get interrupted. For example, a Wimbledon tennis match due to rain – the match may have been interrupted, but it had at least started. In this case all Pikums will remain closed (not open for further entry) and all Piks will remain unchanged.

However, should an event be interrupted for an unreasonably long period of more than 72 hours, Pikum!, at its sole discretion, may decide to treat an event as if it had been cancelled. This decision is binding upon the Host and all Players in the Pikum. In that case, we will i) notify you of our decision to treat an event as cancelled, and ii) apply the Event Cancellation policy set forth above.

What happens if a Pikum is cancelled?
Once a Pikum has attracted one or more Players other than the Host, a Host can no longer cancel the Pikum. At this stage, a Pikum can only be cancelled by Pikum! at its sole and full discretion.

Cancellation of a Pikum by Pikum!

At any time, and at its sole and full discretion, for any reason whatsoever, Pikum! may decide to cancel a Pikum.

If Pikum! decides to cancel a Pikum, its sole obligation to the Host and Players is to notify them of the cancellation, and to refund them their Entry Fees in full into their accounts at Pikum!

Cancellation of a Player’s Participation in a Pikum

Once you have entered a Pikum and made your Piks, participation cannot be cancelled. While Pikum! allows you to make changes to your Piks according to our Changing Piks policy, Pikum! does not allow you to withdraw from a Pikum altogether.

If Pikum! finds at any time that you have used fraudulent means to deposit money or any other suspicious activity, Pikum! at its sole and full discretion may remove you out of a Pikum! All monies that have been placed by you, in the above circumstances, will be removed from all Pikums where you have made entry.

What happens when the team line up changes for a sport at the last minute?
Team line-ups are listings of event participants for a particular sporting event. Pikum! allows you to Host and play Pikums involving individual athletes/participants.

Team line-ups are subject to change, often at very short notice. Pikum! updates team line-ups in its product as and when these changes become available, but does not guarantee that a particular athlete/participant will actually take place in a sporting event.

Therefore, it is your responsibility to keep up to date with any changes to line ups and adjust your Piks accordingly.

For example, and for purposes of clarity, if you have elected to make a Pik of “2” on the “number of goals scored by Ronaldo” in a football game, and Ronaldo is pulled from the line-up prior to the event, your Pik will still be considered, and Ronaldo’s number of goals scored will be entered as zero.

If the Pikum is allowed to continue, the Host’s money from the Pikum will be given to a charity of Pikum!s choice.

Users receive points based on whether they're right (if it's a YES / NO outcome) or how close they are compared to other Players (if it's an outcome like score). Players can still win a Pikum even if their entries are not 100% accurate. You can think of a Pikum as a more flexible office sweepstakes or fantasy league type game.
